Hey, I’m Nicole—certified dog trainer, chaos coordinator, and the human behind Coulee K9 Services. I didn’t grow up planning to be a dog trainer (or have this many dogs), but after 22 different jobs and a lot of soul-searching, I finally landed where I’m supposed to be—helping people actually understand their dogs.

I’m not big on fluff or one-size-fits-all advice. I’m here for the real stuff: building better communication, boosting your dog’s confidence, and creating a life that works for both of you. I do one-on-one training because every dog is different, and honestly, so is every owner.

Having ADHD means I’ve spent years figuring out how to balance excitement, purpose, and overwhelm—and dog training just fits. It also helps me think outside the box, come up with weirdly effective solutions, and explain training concepts in ways that actually make sense (no science degree required).

When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually hanging out with my own dogs (Sergeant and Ranger), geeking out over dog behavior, or dreaming about the future facility I want to build—complete with a pool, trails, and a gym-style setup for people to actually do stuff with their dogs.

I keep things casual, honest, and focused on real progress. If you’re down to put in the work and laugh a little along the way, we’ll get along just fine.

DEMO DOG

Ranger was born in a shelter and joined our team at just 10 weeks old. He’s a Husky-German Shepherd-Cattle Dog mix with the brain of a working dog and the heart of a goofball. Around people, he’s chill. Around dogs, he’s even chiller — making him the perfect teammate for reactivity work, public training sessions, and off-leash demos. Whether he’s helping your dog focus or pulling a sled through the snow, Ranger’s job is to help you crush your training goals. And he takes that job very seriously (unless there’s tug involved).

IT GUY

I didn’t know I worked here either, but here I am! I’m Nick, the behind-the-scenes tech guy who somehow ended up in the dog training world. When I’m not wrangling computers and making sure the website runs smoothly, I’m making sure everything tech-related is up to date so my wife Nicole can focus on training dogs and making the world a better place, one paw at a time. So, if you ever have an issue with the site or need something fixed, I’m the guy to blame—I mean, call.
