Our Services
Every dog is different, and cookie-cutter training just doesn’t cut it. At Coulee K9 Services, we tailor each training plan to fit the individual dog in front of us—because what works for one pup might not work for another. We take a balanced training approach, which means we use both rewards and fair, humane corrections, when necessary, to clearly communicate what’s expected. Our goal isn’t just obedience—it’s confidence, clarity, and a stronger bond between you and your dog. Whether you're raising a rowdy puppy, working through behavioral hiccups, or aiming for advanced skills, we’ve got your back. All breeds. All needs. No fluff—just results.
How Our Training Works
All sessions are one-on-one, held either in your home or in public spaces depending on your dog’s needs.
We don’t do cookie-cutter classes or generic timelines. Training is tailored to the goals you and your trainer set during your first session. From there, we work together toward real, measurable progress—at your pace.
Not sure how many sessions you’ll need? Below are some guideline packages to help you choose a good starting point.
Socialization
These one-on-one sessions are designed for puppies to build a solid foundation during their most critical learning period. We cover proper socialization—exposing your pup to new sights, sounds, people, dogs, textures and environments in a safe and structured way—along with essential obedience skills like sit, down, leash manners, and more.
This is ideal for puppies 8 weeks and older who are just getting started.
8 sessions is a helpful starting point, but every dog is different—your puppy may need more or fewer sessions on their confidence level and your goals.

Essentials
These one-on-one sessions are for dogs who missed early training or just need a solid obedience tune-up. We’ll focus on everyday essentials like sit, down, stay, leash manners, recall, and polite greetings—everything your dog needs to be a well-mannered companion at home.
This is a great starting point for new rescues, adolescent dogs, or dogs who need a refresher.
6 sessions is a general guideline—your dog may need more or fewer based on their learning pace and your goals.

Urban Etiquette
These one-on-one sessions are for dogs who’ve already nailed the basics and are ready for the next level. We focus on developing calm, neutral behavior around people, dogs, and distractions in real-world settings. Think of this as public etiquette training—working on skills like heel, stay, leave it, ignoring distractions, and polite behavior in busy environments.
This is the polish that helps your dog become a reliable companion wherever life takes you—whether that’s a stroll through a crowded festival, a trip to a dog-friendly store, or preparing for therapy work or the Canine Good Citizen Test.
8 sessions is a solid starting point, but depending on your dog’s progress and goals, more or fewer may be needed.

Cost: $50 per session
Fearful/Reactivity
These one-on-one sessions are designed for dogs who struggle with fear, reactivity, or uncertainty around people, dogs, or new environments. Training is tailored to your dog’s comfort level and needs, focusing on confidence building, desensitization, and teaching appropriate ways to navigate the world.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—we work at your dog’s pace, using a balanced training style to build trust and reduce reactivity.
This is the foundation that helps your dog feel safe, confident, and manageable in real life—whether your goal is peaceful walks in the neighborhood, easier vet visits, or just a more relaxed dog at home.
8 sessions is a general range; some dogs may need more or fewer based on their behavior and your goals.

Slatmill Training/Sessions
Whether you’re looking to add a structured outlet for your high-energy dog or want a way to build endurance safely, these one-on-one sessions will introduce your dog to the slatmill at their own pace. We focus on confidence, engagement, and teaching your dog how to use the equipment calmly and appropriately—not just how to run, but how to work.
This is a great option for working dogs, sport dogs, or pets who need a mental and physical challenge beyond the backyard. (not a replacement for walks and play)
2-4 sessions is typically enough to get started, but some dogs may need more hands-on introduction depending on their temperament and energy level.

Running Sports
Whether you’re prepping for winter musing or just want to run trails with your dog in a safe, structed way, these sessions are built around proper introduction to pulling sports like canicross, bikejoring, and dog sledding. We focus on handler communication, appropriate gear use, and teaching your dog how to work in harness with purpose.
This is a great starting point for active dogs with a love for running, whether you’re chasing competition dreams or just looking to bond through outdoor adventure.
This is the foundation that gets your dog pulling safely and confidently while keeping both of you connected and in sync.
